Clear Your Mind

How to Clear Your Mind

Overwhelm seems to have become some kind of pandemic, spreading around like wildfire. I believe that’s mainly because of how wired we are in our lives nowadays. We become tired, stressed out, and overwhelmed.  And while It’s okay to have these feelings, we don’t want this to become us, to define us, do we? This is not a permanent condition and you certainly don’t need to tolerate it either.

The best way is to clear your mind of course, but it takes practice to effectively clear your mind.

By using one or more of the following techniques during your day, you can regain your sanity and get you through the day without negative thoughts.

Silence and Deep Breathing

Sometimes all it takes to clear you mind is some quiet time alone.

Find a place that has nothing around to affect you.

This should be a quiet, dark place where you can be alone.

Two minutes of utter silence away from any type of screen or lights.

This can help you regain your focus and allow your mind to settle and clear.

After a few minutes, you can use this time to focus on your breathing.

Deep breathing techniques, focusing strictly on your breathing will slow your mind and relax your entire body as well.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

You business might require a lot of work but sometimes,

it’s not the kind of physical activity your body requires or can use to clear your mind.

However, If you can take five minutes out of your busy workload to step outdoors,

go for a walk or run, it would do you a lot of good.

The separation from the task at hand can help clear your mind and relieve you of some of stress.

The fresh air and sunshine (if you are lucky) will help your spirits,

and somehow revive you.

We all know this of course, but we often fail to take advantage of that.

So take a break, you’ll thank me later.

MEDITATION

Once you have calmed a little by stepping away for a walk, you can move on to meditation.

This step can help you find peace in your chaos,

Try to remember why you are doing what you are doing,

Your why should hold you accountable and motivate you.

Be grateful for what you have. Gratitude and appreciation allows us to see just how much we have and have accomplished so far and opens us up to receive and achieve more.

There are several ways to meditate, use your favorite method if you have one.

Try to focus on clearing your mind of any negative feelings, you can also chant, pray.

You can also use affirmations as they are a great way to regain or maintain a positive composure while also reinforcing positive beliefs.

These techniques can help any time of day, use them if you feel your mind needs to be cleared of chaos.

Maria Duckhouse

Hi, I’m Maria | Life Coach, Creative Guide & Artist.

I support thoughtful, sensitive women who are ready to stop blending in, drop the people-pleasing, and finally feel safe being fully, unapologetically themselves in their creativity, their relationships, and their life.

For as long as I can remember, creativity has been my language for making sense of the world. Whether through painting, writing, decorating, or simply following inspiration, creativity has always been more than a hobby, it’s been a path back to myself.

But I also know what it feels like to get stuck. To shrink, second-guess, and filter yourself, whether in art, conversations, relationships, or simply showing up as you.

That’s why my work blends mindset, creativity, and deep inner healing.
→ Not to force change.
→ Not to fix what was never broken.
But to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered in expressing the truth of who you are.

Whether you’re a creative soul who’s lost your spark, a deep thinker stuck in perfectionism, or someone who’s simply tired of hiding, I’m here to walk beside you.

When I’m not coaching, you’ll usually find me in my art corner, painting intuitively, following inspiration, and reminding myself that self-expression was never meant to be perfect… only true.

You are already enough. Your voice, your presence, your expression, it matters.
Let’s help you trust it again.
